He was banned for multiple infractions from what I understand someone went crying to mods because he said they were "Not very smart" I believe.

Here's my honest take on tim the "E90Poster", not the person. Most of his posts that I've seen are just ridiculous and plain overreaction to someone's post. It's nice to see something like that once in a while but to read the same thing over and over again everyday is not that amusing.

Some people like tim's posts for the entertainment value. And the idea of "oh it's the internet, let him be what he wants to be". I respect that but it doesn't mean I like it. Guess in the end, if he's helping the forum by doing what he does then so be it.

This doesn't mean I like the idea of him getting banned. Of course not. I'm sure he's around and will be back again.

Other forums that I am on (not BMWW-related) have a block or ignore poster feature. This can be turned on/off at will by any user.

This is a much better solution than banning someone who is borderline offensive.

I have not laughed so hard about an Internet forum as I have in the past few months, thanks in part to people like methodtim and canucklion... I personally don't understand why it is not the "stupid people" that are banned instead.

Negative. The people they make fun of deserved it. How many posts have you seen that are "help me make up my mind on what mods I should get or what color of window tint should I get or what is the best exterior color?" If you ask trivial questions on the internet, you should have thick enough skin to stand up to some slight ribbing in the responses.
