E46 withdrawal syndrome..

Is anyone else besides me getting rid of an E46 and getting an E90? I know its stupid, but are you just as worried as I am that you wont get the same "warm fuzzy feeling" about owning the E90!! I need counselling?! But I just saw another one of these things pass me on the motorway today, and I almost crashed checking it out..This has got to be one of the best looking cars I have ever seen.

I stopped a guy the other day at McDonalds and asked him what he liked about his new E90, and he said the MAIN thing is the quietness..He said you could hear a pin drop in the thing at 80...Cant wait!! :rocks: :rocks:

yup yup, im making the same exact move. theres nothing wrong with my E46 and I love it so much, which makes the move really hard to do, and like you I also love my e46 to death. But my brain just keeps telling my heart that the e90 is better and I will fall in love with the e90 also once I have it in my driveway

Im sure it will be fine...I really like the fact that I wont have to keep stabbing (as the Brits put it) the temp dials anymore to go up or down..believe it or not, that actually had a large part to play in my decision...i its always the little things, huh?

the e46 looks really nice and very modern but when you start to see in the streets the e90 the e46 suddenly starts to look dated.

The E46 will always be a classic but around an E90 it'll always look out-dated.

I doubt I'll trade in my M3 because no matter what numbers the E90 pushes down, it'll never win my heart. If it can pull something off in the tail lights maybe then I'll start worrying

That's what happened to my E36 when the '46 came out.

But now the E36 is a "classic"

So all you have to do is wait a while!

(thinks quietly to self)

Oh no, my E90 is destined to look dated

The E46 definately looks dated next to the E90. There is a guy that works with my wife that bought his E46 325i last year and is pissed because of how good the E90 looks. Just take your E46 withdrawal one day at a time

I am sure when the time comes that I will be sad to see my car go. But moreso because it is my first car and I love it to death, but the E90 is no slouch in comparison. I am confident the e90 will please me in every way.

just like johnfkitchen, i moved from my e36 that i bought in 1992 to my current e46 some 6.5 years later.

i had no problems at all moving up even though my e36 was fantastic.

now that my e90 is sitting at the dealers for almost 2 weeks before i can collect, makes me want it moreso, especially after i went to see it.

like my e36, my e46 is fantastic but after having it for 6.5 years as well, i will not have any problems moving up to my e90 come 30th of July.

congratulations to those of you who have just taken delivery of your e90s. i'm sure that any sadness in your initial moments of new ownership will or have diminished very quickly.

T minus 9 days and counting.

Sellers remorse

I know exactly the feeling - until I picked up my new E90 - its a whole lot better, more intelligent motor vehicle then my previous E46.

It's simply a matter of recalibrating your mind and getting over the old car.

Everytime, I pass an E46 I think to myself `Good old car' but feel quite smug in my E90 `Good new car'.

Soul searching over motor cars is a waste of good sleeping time.

Regards :

The feeling is even better. I was without a BMW for 4 weeks and going crazy but the e90 is even better. I felt like a little kid again at christmas

I made the switch this past week; I felt horrible as I left my car at the new owners home and headed back...

...then I finally picked up my 325 yesterday, no regrets!

The E90 is definetly upmarket. Catering to people who have a love for computers and computer gimmicks such as Idrive, Bluetooth, NAV. This is stuff that nobody every NEEDS. It's BMW's way of justifying the premium we pay.

For me, I believe I will probably dump my E46 for a beater and wait for a M2, or MZ4. Something to have fun driving on the weekends.

Yup......I got the E46 blues also so I decided to keep my 323Ci as a commuter vehicle during bad weather and high traffic season. :rocks:
