Canadian price list not released yet by BMWNA. A fully specced Z4 sDrive35i in the U.S. will cost you close to USD 63K which translates into CAD 77K. That is not how the pricing for Canada is but it's a good ballpark figure for what it will be.

I'm guessing the pricing will start at around $60,000 for the sDrive30i option. In the States, it's $45,000, which is the base price of the 528i and X5 xDrive30i as well. And those two cars cost around $60,000 (I guess no longer with the 528i since they reduced the price) so the Z4 sDrive30i should be no different. Perhaps it'll start at $58,900 just to keep it within the "50s" range.

My opinion is that they have to carefully price it to avoid them being pricier than an M3. So if we use your start point of 60K for the sDrive30i we would see something like 66K for the sDrive35i. With options adding almost 10K per car we're looking at a sDrive35i at 75K when an E90 M3 nicely specced is around 78~80K. So that's still lower than an M3 but not by much. So your starting point is good but BMW Canada has actually a very small range of prices to work with since it cannot possibly be cheaper than what the E85/E86 model was going for.

I hope you are wrong. I bought my 2008 Z4MC at 63K and with taxes and all the other fees it comes up to 79K.

I think the 3.0si was 55K. In 2007, the 3.0i and 3.0si were available. In 2008, only the 3.0si was available.

Unfortunally, im not wrong. it's the truth. and u cant compare 08 Z4 with 09 Z4 nowadays, the 09 Z4 35i is actaully better than 08 M coupe/roadster now in overall, although i think the 09 is overpriced, and shouldnt be more expansive than M. You can see the U.S. Price, after options it's like around $68k U.S dollar. Unless the $ CAD dollar is under $70k too, if not, (we know it cant be $70k CAD), then it's gona be over 80K CAD forsure after 13% taxes and other fees. (not much difference for u in Quebec 12.875%) 68K U.S, in canada it's gona be somewhere between 78k-85k CAD. Let's just say it's 78k CAD for now, then after taxes and fees, it's 90K exectly. im alrdy conservative to say its around 90k. Last edited by E89.35i; 04-18-2009 at 01:38 PM.. |
