I want to offer $1000 over invoice but last guy I talked to at BMW Bellevue was like "um...we don't do that ....take your business elsewhere" Wouldn't even listen to my offer.

Yea go see Mark - he doesn't pussyfoot around. Screw BMW of Bellevue. Its a dam recession, they have excess inventory, sales are plummeting and still those clowns don't entertain a solid deal or negotiate on good faith.

I've always dealt with London at Seattle BMW. Hell of a good guy, knows his business and will take care of you.

Important thing to remember though is that there is a direct correlation between grinding on price, and your level of happiness. Without a doubt, the folks that just head on in, work a decent deal, build the car the way they want it and order the damn thing are far happier than the folks that go in, demand this or that, set up an adversarial type of relationship with the salesman and grind on and on over the price and every little detail.

True of Motorcycles, True of Harley's, and true of cars. Don'[t get hung up on lowest price, enjoy the process, order the ride you want, and be happier than hell when it arrives without the need for the drama.

FWIW YMMV IMHO FAIK

Talk to London, Tell him Keith with the White/Red 335 Coupe sent ya.

Seattle BMW definitely has the best prices right now but they do not offer pass-through for those of us with trade-ins. BMW of Bellevue is not far behind but they do offer pass-through.

Can I ask what you're looking to buy?

It's when you find a private buyer for your existing car. The dealership will sell your existing car to the buyer at the price you negotiated so that you save that amount on tax. That way you get the private party value for your car and still retain the benefit of trading your car in.

For example, when I sold my Z06 and bought my 335i, I found a buyer who was willing to pay $24k for my Z06. The dealership passed my car through and sold it to the new owner so that it was like trading it in at the dealership and avoided paying tax on the $24k.
