Question re: swapping tires from E92 to E46

OK. Bear with me here...

I have my E92 with sport package on order. Will have the dreaded runflats in 225/40/18 up front with 255/35/18 in the rear. My wife has the exact same sizes with her E46 330i (she has the sport package plus the 18" M sport wheels that were an accessory in 2002).

When my car comes in, can I take the runflats off it and put it on hers (which will need tires soon) and then take conventional summer tires and place them on the E92?

Tougher question I think...can we swap rims??

If you plan to do the swap then you end up with summer tires on E90 with no spare and the E46 will runs on RFT. I think is do able but what if you have a flat I guess you can call AAA for help.

Have had a Z06 for 3.5 years with a can of fix a flat...BMW Roadside Service will be my friend. Worth the risk over runflats that are like rocks IMO.

I thought he was talking about e92. Anyway, no one knows the offset on the e92 yet. It's could be the same as e90 or different. My guess is the same, but who knows since the body design is different with different chasis. RFT on e46? How can people think about that? E46 with storage for tire jack, spare tire and jack tools is perfect for non-RF while E90 needs RF more. I don't get it

I'm pretty sure E92 will have the same offset as E90.
