suspension options? Callin XI Guys

Ok, i dont want to spend a dump load, although that seems impossible with these cars, but I want lowered, slightly more aggressive appearence, nothing for the track... what are my options?

Kw3($$$), H&R, Cross Competition, Eibach???

Whats the difference in handling, performance between just springs vs. coil overs?

I'd go with H&R if you arent going to do the V3's. But you may have to replace your shocks sooner than later. I was in a similiar situation, but just pulled the trigger on the KW V3's. Suspension is one thing I can't see myself compromising since I drive quite a bit. Good luck with whatever you decide

yeah- let me know. i'm also looking for a set. the height of xi's models are disgusting.
i want something thats inexpensive and thats not going hinder the suspension or hurt the driving quality we already have. i'm not planning on tracking either- this is my dd.

You get what you pay for. I started just like you, same mentality, but, after countless hours of research and reading about the different suspension options I came to the conclussion that even if I don't track the car I still want the quality of a product to match the BMW quality. I was not about to sacrifice the handling attributes of my car for the sake of looks. I wanted something better than stock, and for that you have to pay. So... I went ahead and got the V3's. Now I am only waiting on the snow to melt to get them installed. Maybe in a few weeks they will be installed. Good luck with your decision and I hope I was of some help to you.

the v3's height are fully adjustable correct?
so when winter comes along will you be able to crank it up for the clearance of snow?

The V3's are not "fully" adjustable, in that the minimum lowering is around 3/4". You can't get back to stock height, but you can get within about 3/4" of it, which is where I plan to keep mine all year round.
