H&R sports on 328xi.. what to do to lower front a little more?

I know in my old VWs i had spring caps on top of the spring [seat] mount and those were removable to give you about .5-.75" lower stance in the front. I love how low the rear is.. but the front could be a tad lower. The 328/330/335i sport springs have a nice even drop, I guess the XI's are a tad higher in the front cause of the AWD transfer case hanging there underneath.

Please don't post - "get coilovers".. not on the agenda. I don't want to drop $1500 to be a 1/2 inch lower in the front.

Any ideas welcome.

For what I can see in the pictures looks fine to me. Can you post a side profile picture?, we might be able to tell the difference that way. I still think it looks fine.

Whatever you do, ...do not cut the springs.

Apparently the stock non-xi sport springs work on the xi, which gives it an even drop...

the sport springs on his e92 coupe looks the same as normal xi springs to me. have you seen how low the e90 sport springs drop the front? has anyone "experimented" with that?

also, how am i gonna get my hands on just the front springs? even if they do go lower..

I'd imagine you will want to do all 4? Mixing springs doesn't seem like a good idea.

None, its solid metal so it serves no purpose other than increasing the ride height.

has anyone actually done this? before/after ride height pics?

as for comfort, should be the same.. i don't see why it would affect ride quality, its just a spacer, has nothing to do with the spring rate or shock absorber

I know with the E36 generation there was a 'bad road package' available in Europe which used exactly these kinds of spacers. I wonder if someone with an ETC / EPK could look up if the regular E90s don't have this spacer.

BTW, where do you guys get the EPC / TIS disks in the US? (I got mine in Germany a long time ago for my ti)

this is a fellow members 325xi on H&R sport springs, and his drop honestly looks like stock compared to yours.

Your drop honestly looks pretty decent.
