I purchased this top of the line W3J in late 2006 and it cost a pretty penny at the time. Because of the extremely high specification when new, this laptop holds up extremely well performance-wise compared to new "light multimedia" laptops. You can get cheaper laptops new, but they'll be big, heavy and not particularily nicely designed or necessarily as powerful. Though its three years old, this laptop still gets amazing battery life; I watched the entire Lord of the Rings: Return of the King off a DVD on battery power on a plane at Christmas and it still had juice left.

At under 5lbs with the power adapter, this laptop is extremely light and portable, very convenient for travel or just taking to class or conference. With a dedicated graphics processor, ATI X1600 which compares well to a 7600GT, this laptop can provide exceptional mobile gaming entertainment as well. An unbeatable combination for this price.

The laptop is in good cosmetic condition with some normal wear on the typing surface where you rest your wrists and the plastic shroud covering the exhaust port has cracked and a little bit come off. I bumped the ram to 2gb and replaced the 60gb 5400rpm drive with a 100gb 7200rpm drive. It has a brand new fresh install of Windows XP Professional updated to SP3 and all Microsoft updates applied.
