Gold Wheels On A Black E90
I used to think gold wheels were EXTREMELY tacky and boy ricer.
But I dunno, they are starting to grow on me...A LOT. A gold that is not so bright, more on the bronze side....with a nice chrome lip. I'm starting to think it's got potential. Definitely original. What do you guys think? Discuss. |

I've yet to see an actual owner of a black E90 with gold wheels, but here's a good photoshop of gold BBS LM's.

Those LMs look OK on that car, but take away the blackout treatment (chrome around the windows and/or kidney grill) and remove the graphics from the side and I think it would look ugly.

If you're going for the gold in Jason's picture, I think they're too light. A darker gold like you're mentioning will look better. I saw this picture in the picture's thread and I think these rims look pretty good, but hard to tell if they are any darker.

Also, in the above picture, these rims have a chrome lip, which breaks up the gold look a bit and, in my opinion, makes them look better. If the entire rim is gold, I think it looks too cheesy.

I like dark bronze over gold persay, but you get the point! I loved my bronze rims I had before. They were on a white car. Long posted a pic of a e46 with gold rims/polished lip, looks hot! Gold/Bronze can be done without looking like rice.

I'd go for it. Reminder: Opting for bling-bling gold wheels is ground for immediate banning
