Dyno Day

We've talked about it a few times, so let's make something official! Carb Connection in Kirkland hosts a 50% off ($75) dyno on any Saturday in we can group at least 5 cars. Between all of us that have tunes now and those who want their baseline runs, I think it's just a matter of picking a day.

What: BMW Dyno Day
When: Saturday, March 21 starting at 10:00am [BOOKED]
Where: Carb Connection, 13611 NE 126th PL, Suite 240, Kirkland, WA 98034
Price: $75.00 (HP, TQ, Boost, AFR for as many runs as it takes to yield consistent numbers)

Who:
1. ericsmc83 (Eric) - PROcede V3 Stage 1 E92 335i 6MT

14th sounds great - just before the Drag day on the 15th! Get dyno one day and then go see if that 'power' makes it to the track the next day!!

I thought this too. Looks like the 14th works out for everyone so far. If just those that posted attend, we'll be good to go.

Yes, it is an AWD Dynojet!

And the discounted price is $75.

I can ask tomorrow. The $75 is just what we got last time, and I think there were 6 or 7 of us there.

Dynojet right not MustangDyno? Plus are they gonna do Torque as well since you have to take the engine cover off for that or is this just for whp?

Also what kind of fan(s) do they use? I'm hoping it's some gigantic sealed turboprop fan and not some carpet drying fan.

It would be great if you guys would share the results. Could be very interesting with the variety of tunes you have. I might show up. What time of day?

Yes AWD Dynojet. They do HP, torque, boost, AFR, etc. Here's an example from last summer when my car was stock. For some reason I can't get the boost curve to load, which is really strange.

As far as the fans go, I'm no dyno expert, but IMO it seems like they have adequate cooling for the runs. There were multiple fans, but I don't remember what kinds.

Just got off the phone with Carb Connection. Unfortunately, they already have the Ferrari group coming in on March 14. He said there is a chance that they could be finished early enough to have our group in the same day, but there are no promises.

He's calling the other group to try and gauge their group size and is letting me know.

So basically, we might want to thinking about shooting for either the 7th or the 21st, which are both open.

Also confirmed the price is $75 each.

What does everyone think?

No, $75 is the GB price, the last dyno meet I went to had about 8 members or so. $75 is a great price for a GB considering their knowledge and their equipment, they are very helpful too if you are a first timer.
