Car is kinda dipping on the stop with nose too much now. I have diesel motor, so it's a bit heavy but i guess on par with 6cyl engines.
How long you go on a set of shocks? Im 70% city driving, some roads are not good and regulary go through them.

I'm not an expert on longetivity of shocks, but requiring a replace after only 28k miles under normal driving conditions does not sound right.

Possible, especially if you're pretty sensitive to such changes. I definitely noticed a difference in my Bilstein shocks even after 15k miles, but that is with some track miles on there too. I wouldn't be surprised if you felt the shocks were somewhat worn at 28k miles if you drive in town with some bad roads.

Yeah, im one of those who feels every change in car behaviour, suspension set up and engine tone, etc. SO chances are they are OK per say, but i'm feeling them wearing off that it's starting to affect handline a bit.

Well, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade: this is the perfect excuse to get performance shocks for replacements.

i have 34k on my KW V3's (had them since 500 miles) and feel that i can get to 50k without a swap....I know they are not OEM but still...
However I do 80% highway driving, with the other 20% in the big, pothole ridden cities. I think that you would notice the wear better when the car is at speed...if you feel a magic carpet ride then they are getting worn out.

im definately NOT going the springs only way, if i change its going to be springs-shocks combo, or if shocks only then it's oem same spec.
but ok, seems like 28k after bad roads ain't so crazy. btw, 50k on KW3 sounds like quite short distance - i thought those things are much more durable.

You can probably find a lot of people offloading OEM suspension setups in the classifieds here as they upgrade to aftermarket stuff.

The shocks wear quite quickly on the e90, especially if you have sports suspension. So yes they probably are abit worn. My car is driven around 35 tkm/25 thousand miles and shocks feel tired and a little noisy over big bumps... Changing to H&R cupkit soon...

yeah, but you forgetting i have a 4 cyl model. I'm not sure if the zsp suspension from 6 cyle will not actually lift the car up since my engine is lighter...

Returned my E90 325i w/ 83,500 km...and got a new E90 335i. Both with sport suspension. I didn't noticed how soft the suspension had gotten on the 325i...but the new 335i is MUCH more firm and planted...
