Question about modding

When you mod your car (ie. spoilers, blacklines, etc) does that increase, decrease, or do nothing to the value of your car? I'm considering on getting a front apron in the future but if it decreases the value of my car (if i trade in... some dealerships dont want to carry custom cars cause they cant resell as well or something)... then i wont do so...

any comments/suggestions/etc?

I think it depends on who you are selling it to, joe shmoe that wants a BMW probably isnt going to give you anything over and above for the upgrade, that buyer may infact want to give you less. Now if you can find a buyer that wants the upgrades but not the hassle of installing them or procuring the parts then you may be able to make a few extra benjamins off of them.

The bank is not going to give more money because you have x amount of mods. They only look at the car condition, mileage and year make and model. Always good to keep your OEM stuff just in case you do decide to sell it.
