Got any more pics of the blacklines? I’m tried to figure out how they look on Monaco and see if I want to get them.

Might look nice, but I'd leave the chrome surrounds...

Or you could go the other way, color code the surrounds and leave the slats chrome...

I was thinking of color matching mine too (TiAg). I blacked out the grills on my other TiAg BMW (e46) and they look cool, but I thought I'd try something different with the TiAg e90. I figured I'd buy another set and try it and that way if I don't like it I'll put the chrome back in.

I like the chrome grills the way they are. I was thinking the same thing for Mystic Blue but I like the way that the chrome stands out.

this MIGHT be too ricey, but what if you did the mesh thing, and then painted that blue. That always looks nice. i cant JUST picture the blue bars up and done, but if it was like "solid" then i think it would look good. Just throwing it out there.

I'm debating between the following on my SG 330i

1. change out the 330 grill for the 325 grill (black with chrome surround)
2. blackout grill completely (including surround)
3. put 325 (black) grill in and have the surround painted SG

@nmulax: I'd go with option 3 - sounds good!

I'm very proud of my 6 cylinder chrome grill, so I won't hide or alter it! (I shine it every time it gets dirty)

Buy you another set and paint them to see what they would look like and if bad replace with chrome.

Dude, face it. Your car is perfect. Too bad, no more mods for you.

Just do what you like to the grills. You can always buy new ones.

Gimmie a couple of minutes I'll try and put something together..

Edit: NM I can't seem to get it to work, sorry =/

IMO I would just go black though, that way it contrasts with the car, but still doesn't stand out too much.

Maybe this will help you decide. I painted the grill frames body color (Sapphire Black) & left the slats chrome. The painted parts will blend with the rest of the body (hood & bumper).

In case of Monaco Blue, I think it will look fabulous. I say go for it.
