1) Never heard that in a 7 Series here
2) Yes, go to voice command and say something like "store", or just say "Help" and the system will list all options

Well I am similarly peeved. The e65/66 has ventilated/massaging seats options, the e90 doesn't....the e65/66 has a 19" wheel option, the e90 only has 18" wheel...the e65/66 has a V12 model, the e90 only has half of that ....WTF

Some of what you ask depends upon iDrive or not - premium package or not. ALso the way software updates are being done things could be very different in a E92 than the current way things work. One would hope things get improved.

There seems to be some confusion on this, so let me just clarify:
The BMW series designations denote more highly optioned cars the higher the numbers go... The 3series for instance is a lower series than say the 5,6,or7 series vehicles. This must be easy to forget, so here's an easy way to remember: look at the prices! gimme a break... |

you guys are too much. THe dude is just asking a question. Some features might trickle down to the 3 series from the higher end cars, that's why he asked. If you're not gonna answer in a nice way, just dont answer at all. No need to rip on him.

also the two things he asked if the 3 series has... well if i understand him correctly the 3 series has both of them. So I dont understand y people are saying its only a 3 series when it has those same feautures as the 7 does?

My car does a welcome chime as soon as i put the key in, and continues even after I have fastened my seatbelt, so i know its not just that warning.
With the Idrive, making a phone call is SO EASY, I never had to make any voice entries. It interpilates what the name you are saying is, EX. if I want to dial Dave, I would push the button, wait for beep, and say "Call Dave" it asks, "would you like to be connected to Dave" I simply say "yes" and the phone starts ringing.... COULDN'T BE EASIER...I LOVE IT!

2) The available names in the car that I can call via voice command are those I have in the SIM of the cell phone (Nokia 6210i). These transfer automatically each time the phone and the car connect via Bluetooth. 3) I had a couple of answers but forgot them too.
