SOS Warning light
Hi guys, sorry if this is a repost, I searched and could not find.
Has anyone had the SOS malfunction light go off?? I had it happen tonight and it stayed on for like 3 mins and then went off. Didn't happen on the way home. I wonder if this is the beginning of an electrical nightmare or just a usual quirky BMW thing... |

Mine's done it twice.
AFAIK, it's when the car can't get GSM reception for the SOS call system (not your own phone, the cars own GSM system, shown by the little aerial symbol on the nav pro screen) It came back after a few minutes or so. It's not a failure I think.

exactly. it is when your car loses its reception for the SOS system not your bluetooth.

I had this problem constantly with the sos malfunction error coming out on my navi screen. I took it in to the dealer 3 times b4 they finally fixed. They had to replace a couple parts an do software updates on it.
