Help Guys! The time is here!

I just got the 90 day notice on our FX lease! I think that means its about time to order my e90! I wish we could wait for the 335(Xi) but if thats not out until January, not an option...So what options do you think are a must have on the car.

My FX has- Bi Xenons,Radar Cruise,Nav,XM,CA type thing.

I dont particularly want to loose anything with the move to the 3, but ya know BMW

Thanks for the help

PS. Oh I forgot to add, I have my mind pretty much set on a terra interior, exterior is still a toss up between SG and BS!

-JG.

Thats ok! I thought it would be a little better than that. I see why you are so happy to get rid of it. Do you really drive it that much living in NY?

The one must have has to be Sport Pkg. To have something comparable also opt for the Premium Pkg, Nav (iDrive), CA, and Active Cruise. You will at least double your mpg with the E90. Happy shopping.
Im waiting for MY2007 official release, dont care if it is a 335i or 330i; prefer BMW bring direct injected NA 330i instead of twin turbo. Just my opinion.

I'll put in a plug for black sapphire over sparkling graphite, but pretty much all the colors look good IMO. As for options, you want the sport package for sure, and after that it's up to you. If you want the radar cruise, it's "active cruise" on the Bimmer. It doesn't seem to be too popular, but those who have it like it. Comfort access, premium package if you are getting leather and Bluetooth anyway, and then consider if you want fold-down and heated seats. The seats don't fold down in the back unless you order that option. I originally was not going to order iDrive, but I tried it and liked it, so I ordered it. YMMV.

Ok Guys thanks for the help so far! Heres what Im looking at!

330Xi With
Sports Package(ZSP)
Premium Package(ZPP)
18" Star Spoke Alloy Wheels (Styling 162)
On-Board Navigation System w/iDrive
Comfort Access
STEPTRONIC Automatic Transmission
Heated Front Seats
Sirus

Im debating with the PDC and ACC right now. I have my mind pretty set on getting ACC but we will see what happens!

Now I need help with Colors.
Exterior- I love BS and SG, but I cant decide.
Interior- Terra/Aluminium or Terra/Burl damnit, why is it so hard.

PS. What kind of MPGs can I expect?

Remember the XI is a little higher than the I, so there will be a little more space in the wheel wells. I've seen some pics on here of XI's with the 162 and did not like the look. Do you really need the XI?

I like the aluminum with the terra. As for the outside, how anal are you about keeping it clean at all times? SG would be easier to keep looking good but if you really like to spend the time, the BS would certainly look sharp.

I know what you mean. I live on a hill so the XI would have been nice for me too but I didn't want the extra weight, height and mpg that come with it. I just figure the amount of times that it snows around here I can just work at home or maybe I’ll get a beater.

I assume you know that you still need to get snow tires even with the XI.

I'd strongly consider the cold-weather package instead of just heated seats. It's cheaper on the XI because the headlight washers are standard, and you'll get the fold-down rear seats + ski bag.

Fold-down seats are invaluable for carrying larger items when necessary.

If you're keeping a truck it may not be an issue, but for me it's essential.

I've got a very similar setup to what you're ordering but I got 6MT instead of step. Trust me the ride height and weight are not the issue people make it out to be. The car is plenty quick and handles just the way you expect a BMW to handle.

My CA talked me out of the the ACC at the last minute. I could kick him for that, wish I had gotten it. Get the PDC it's only $300 and well worth it. I do mostly short commutes in city.

I'm averaging between 17mpg and 19mpg. Much better of course on the highway.

So deffinatly get ACC and PDC? I think to me PDC will be very useful, I tell you the Back up Camera in the FX saved my ass a couple dozen times!.

The ACC is not a popular option with E90 buyers, probably because it's so expensive. But I say yes, get it, especially if you enjoyed it in the FX.

You will not have a back up cam with PDC, but you will get a computerized visual display of your rear bumper showing your distance from even the smallest objects including animals and people. You also have an audible signal that get's louder the closer you are to an object. It's very cool and surpisingly useful. Get that too, you won't regret it.
