Rumors is a V8 might may an option at this point, the article not mention whether they will offer a manual or not.

The coupe looks great in the picture, IMO. To me, this car looks like it was always designed to be a coupe rather than a sedan. I think it's a great idea.
Like a lot of you, I tried the IS350 before ordering my 330i. The rear seats are beyond terrible. I have to fit child seats back there -- the 330i is barely adequate for this, but the IS much, much worse. Completely unsuitable for it.

Still a Lexus and always will be! Sure they can boost Hp to 390 and then try and compete with an M. Not even a challenge. Lexus has not been a fav of mine nor do I think it will be even later.

Funny TM decide to do a coupe now, I just saw an IS250 at my work parking lot today, and seriously that backseat is joke, it should've been a coupe to begin with. Nex car nonetheless, just not very good backseat space.

I don't think it is ugly. It looks more femine, unlike the E90/92 that has the masculine look. |

I like Lexus, but I wouldn't even want a manual with the current IS350 engine. The manual in the 250 is *so* mushy I can't imagine what it'd be like if they tried to shoehorn it into the IS350. Nevermind their inabilty (or decision not to) make a chassis/suspension that is even close to BMW. I don't have high hopes.

IMHO it's good to have competitor and so BMW can design a better car in the future.

True. It'd be difficult for them to compete with an M but not so difficult competing with the regular 3 series. I mean I dont know how big the gap is but I think Lexus is doing pretty well since it's only their second attempt in the sport-segment. THen again, BMW will always get better as Lexus advances. |

I want Lexus to keep doing well and putting out good products. The more competition, the better it is for us consumers. People act like everything aside from BMW is garbage. If that were really the case, us BMW fans would be paying $50k+ for a 325. The fact that there are good alternatives out there keep BMW honest.
I really think that pressure from Infiniti and Lexus is what made BMW come out with the 335 so soon after the redesigned 330. As far as I'm concerned, good for us! |
