My 162 Wheel Scrapes

I remember a while back on this fourm someone posted a DIY for repairing wheel scrapes. I believe it was a porsche 911 wheel in the DIY the instructor was repairing. Does anyone remember the site this was on?

Was thinking about repairing mine the same way, just waiting for a nice sunny week to clean the car and have the repair done.

I hit mine when I had my OEM's, the dealership had a guy do wheel repair, 15 minutes, and it was over.

Does anyone need the supplies? I bought everything you need to do this, but never ended up doing it as I got the wheel replaced because of an accident. I have all of it left over and unoppened. Will sell half price

ashecnc: Did I catch that right, the dealer was able to do the repair? Do you remember what they charged you?

gentryma1, yes, they have a wheel repair man I made an appointment with. He is there on certain times and does wheel repair. I curbed mine, it was about 4 inches long, he sanded it down, and repainted, cleared etc. It was quick, plus he does this everyday, I would never try it lol I paid $65.00, but I think he told me it would have been more if I had went through the dealer. I caught him outside and paid him direct

In case anyone is thinking about repairing the wheel themselves... One word of advise if you follow the procedure in this forum... Um, instead of covering the entire car in paper so you don't spray it.... take the wheel off and go sit in the backyard.
