It was

Production is not up to full capacity yet and no customer cars are being built yet, only press and launch cars

They need time to set up everything properly to get to full production and start making customer cars in July

Its been said since the first press release that the launches are in September, so dont know why you are getting anxious

Nope. I've spoken to a few dealers here in the U.S. that have one or two cars on their way in early July as demos.

Ive heard most cars will be put in storage till launch.
So even if dealers have early allocations they wont get them till when BMW decides they can get their demos and customer cars will have the same done to them.

They did the same with the E90, where 2 or 3 month worth of production were held back till release in March 2005

they tend to do that; amass a lot of cars so that every dealer in their network will have some supply when it is launched. So yah, it's probably sitting at port hundreds and thousands of them

Most yes, but not all of them. Some of them get sent ONLY to certain dealers.
