Anyone Suffer From Squeaky Clutch Pedal?

1st minor (but aggravating) problem appeared on my 330Xi as the weather fianlly warmed up ......... in temps above 65f my clutch squeeks consistently on depression and release ...... tried a little WD40 to no avail ....... sounds like a rub on a rubber boot above the underdash hood ........ when temp drops below 60f, goes away .......... anyone else run into this ........ I am sure BMW can resolve this, but as its the only problem I've had, I have yet to take it in.

My E90 is 8 months old and no problems with a "squeaky" pedal, regardless of temp.

my current 9 month old e90 does not have a squeaky clutch pedal but my 4yr old manual g9 corolla does suffer from a squeaky clutch. any permanent solutions for this problem for older cars apart from greasing and oiling the joints?

Mine had that sound too and i posted the article like two months ago and someone told me it's not a big problem as some new cars have that. Mine now doesn't have that noise and it's as smooth as silk.

A friend of mine has that noise on his E90. And I have that noise too on my
older BMW (E36). I've learned to live with it after 13 years whenever I drive
the car with high temperatures outside.

I used a clear sillicone spray to cure any rattles or squeaks on my old E36, which suffered the clutch issue.

The spray also cured my E90 window and door rattle, by simply spraying the rubbers.

I'd be wary of anyone who tells you a clutch squeak is a non-issue.

When I got my E90, the clutch would squeak at the same point on depress and release. It took the dealer three tries in order to finally fix the problem. It turned out there was something loose (sorry, can't remember what) in the transmission.

The interesting part was that the car drove much better after they fixed that problem. This being my first BMW, I had been driving it with the squeak and not realizing that performance was being hampered. The difference was remarkable.

Anyway, I suggest you drive another manual E90, and drive it aggresively, and see if you notice any difference in performance.

The one thing in your favour is the fact that your noise seems to be temperature related, so it may not be a mechanical issue.

Assuming this is a conventional clutch design, the TOB (throw-out bearing) could be the curprit in that it is binding on the shaft. Should not happen on a new car.

Yaja .......... let me know what you learn ....... I am going to run mine in for a 7500 mile oil change in a month or two ...I will update you as well.. will have them look at it .... I am sure this is not a serious problem ........ it sounds just under the dash ....... and sounds like rubber on rubber ..... like a bushing is improperly placed or fitted ........ expands when warm and is rubbing on something ...... bothersome as much as I enjoy running through the gears though........

No mechanical issues with clutch or shifting .......

Just following up on this. Anyone else experience a squeaky clutch under these conditions?

Mine seems to be squeaking a lot lately, but only when warm. It gets worse the warmer it is.

Oh, the problems.
