4 Years of BMW Assist Free

I heard that BMW will provide four years of service to its BMW Assist emergency service on all vehicles sold in North America beginning with 2007 models at no extra charge instead of 1 year so far. Any confirmation on that?

I've also heard that from my CA, Jim yesterday. They are bumping it to 4 years.

I'd sign up for BMW Assist if they could unlock your car remotely. Unfortunately they can't.

BMWNA confirm that the 2007 model of 325/330i will have the 4 yrs assist service.

that is sad, and my company car which has On-Star can do that. Assist is very generic for what they charge for it beyond the 1 year free period.

Maybe they should let the buyer choose 4-years of one of the options, be it SIRIUS, BMW Assist, or some other comparable item (one fresh set of RFTs maybe?

). Some, as "carjon" implies, don't need, nor want, BMW Assist.
