Changes in current E90

I just got my 2nd E90 (325i). My first build date was 11/05, my 2nd build date is 4/06.

I noticed the following changes:

-Sunroof now has a delay off in power after you remove the key.
-Alarm beep is much louder.
-New side airbags -pushed up the overall saftey rating to good.
-New design of the middle headrest in rear.
-"Engine tune" sounds more like the 330.
-My Cingular Razor phone can accept calls that are waiting.
-Auto headlights are less sensitive to underpasses and even my garage when the door is open.
-Angel eye rims are a bit brighter. (xenon)
-Roadside assistance is by AAA now.
-New leather trim (stitch work) on the steering wheel (I have prem pkg on both)

Interesting. I hope by the time I trade my Beta version E90 in a year or two for a new one there will be even more improvements! It looks like some of these changes are even newer than the distictive "September 2006" updates.

Please clarify re Call Waiting - do you mean to imply that you get notified of the call on the iDrive screen?

In my 1st e90 the bluetooth system would not allow CIngular customers with the RAZ phone to accept "call waiting" calls. Now I can in the new e90. BMW NA was working on a fix.

the louder alarm sound was definitely neede.

ok but that doesn´t really answer my question: are you getting notification through iDrive or just answering the 2nd call on your mobile..

my girls sport pack steering wheel is a bit different and a bit thicker, and it has the thumb things like the M wheel in her 06 april built 325, compared to mt sept build 05 330i with sport pack.

Mine was ordered 4-7-06 and delivered 5-29-06 and the Angel eyes are the same as earlier builds when I compared them at the dealer.
I'll try them again at night just to see if they are xenon.

angel eyes are different??? can you take a pic to show? i'm quite interested in this. i wonder if its just the bulb gradually degrading.

The angel eyes are not xenon. but they are brighter than my first e90. I don't own the first car anymore, so I can not do a photo compare.

I don't have i-Drive, so the "call waiting" feature comes thru the dash phone. I do get a beep and screen view of the next caller.

You mean the Multi Information Display? That is great to know.

What version of PROGMAN did your new car come with?

Yes that is correct about the MID.

Are you sure there is a new design for the side airbag? I thought the only change to safety features was the headrest at the beginning of this year.
