Here are some pics of the rear tires. Now that they are off my car I'll take some better ones. There is between 4/16" and 5/16" of tread left.

Yeah, I'll bring it along if you'd like to take a look at it. You can see new pics of it on the web at: http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m311/aegiswings/

Out of curiousity, how many miles you think the tires still have left for highway use?

They probably have 85% life left on them, so maybe another 25,000 to 30,000 miles? Perhaps more for highway use.

It depends on how you drive. If you drive like I had been driving, there is very little wear on them. Look at the pictures, you'll notice that there are still notches visible on the center tread. On pictures of other tires I've seen with similar or less miles, these notches have completely worn away. I would say they are down maybe 15% from when they are new, which gives me an expected lifespan of 28,333 miles or 25-30k.

On my last car I had three sets of Bridgestone Potenza S-02 (and S-03) PP's with similar treadwear ratings (140, I believe). I got 30-35,000 miles out of each set of those tires.
