135 oil change?

Hope to be a happy 135 owner early next year. But I'll have to buy my car quite a distance from home. I was wondering if having oil changes at local shops would have any effect on BMW's warranty?

Also, I thought someone mentioned in a thread here that the 135's oil change was difficult in some way. Are you folks bringing your car to the dealer for oil changes, doing it yourself or using local garages? BTW, I'm addicted to 3,000 mile changes.

TIA.

I just did my 1k 2 nights ago. Easy to do, but the damn oil comes out so fast it gets everywhere including on the undertray.

Lay out a full newspaper before beginning
