The new M3 wearing Michelin PS2s! ;-)

I knew I picked the right tire.

Actually just found out today that the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s come standard on an Audi S4 too (looked at the tires on my brothers S4).

Good to know I won't be loosing my favorite tire when I switch over to the M3 Sedan in 17 months.

So I suppose the M models will make room for a fullsized or temp spare?

I will do a search. I think Longtran mentioned something about $95. I have time so not a real issue. Plenty of tread left.

ULTRIK MOBILITY KIT (COMPRESSOR, TIRE SEALANT & BAG)

The run-flat tires on your MINI are very heavy, not always repairable and extremely expensive to replace. If you want to switch to conventional tires but are afraid of getting stranded with a flat, here's the answer. The ULTRIK Mobility Kit contains a 12v compressor and tire sealant. Simply fill the tire with sealant, re-inflate with the compressor and motor on to the nearest location that can repair the tire. This type of kit is standard equipment on some BMW models. Fits out of sight in the rear fenderwell storage compartments.

I doubt you can read too much into that. That's just a random wheel they slammed on the test car. I am sure that wheel won't be a option in the finalized version and who knows what they will put on them. I am leaning towards more contis

Not that simple - They'll fit whatever is in factory stock at the time. Unless a tire is 'specifically' developed for a car you don't know what you'll get.

If you look at a row of new cars, the same models will have different brands of tyres - just pot luck.

I checked on a row of 330's and 325s on sport 18s - all new, and they had a mix of PS2's, Bridgestone RE050's, Continental SP2's and Goodyears.

Same goes for M3's, S4's whatever.
