tire expert opinion please on 245/35 front..

Sorry in advance for the long question, but I really need some expert opinions on this...thanks.

I have a 325xi and I just ordered some HRE 540Rs: 19X8.5 F et 33, 19X9.5 R et 35. HRE recommended me to get Pirelli P zero Neros 235/35 F and 275/30 R. However, I wanted to get some all season tires instead for their longer tread wear. As I go to look to buy some michelin pilot sport A/S, I find that they don't make 235/35 for the all season type, instead 245/35 are available. I wanted to get the 245/35 initially but HRE told me that it is not recommended: "We recommend 235 for a no modifications required fitment."

I really don't want to have any rubbing issues and don't want to have to roll my fenders (alsol planning to buy some coilovers in the future), so I'm concern that if I buy the 245/35 I might have some issues. From reading some of the posts, I've seen another member, NIM, having BBS LM 19x8.5 w/ 245/35 et 32, so I figured that I shouldn't have any problems. On the other hand, HRE should know what they are talking about..right?..so i'm confused...does the brand of rims matter when it comes to offsets, or any rim with the same offset should fit the same? Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm new at this and want any opinion from members who have tried this setup before and what your thoughts are on my situation and what you think I should do? thanks for the input.

Have you tried using the calculator above the post? PM the other member and see what he says. No better info than with someone that has already done it. I would agree not having to roll the fender.

Just plugged in the numbers myself and you will extend your tires outward by 3mm and your speedo will be off by 1mph not that it will make a difference since they are not that accurate anyway. I can't remember the rest.

245/35/19 on 8.5", 40mm offset: no rub at all for Non-sport. It's very close to the strut side. Yours with 33mm offset will give you extra 7mm clearance on the strut and I would say it's perfect. I love the 245/35 and 275/30 on 8.5"/9.5" rims.
However, 245/35 F will be a little bigger than 275/30 R in diameter. You can put them next to each other and see that the front is bigger.
Now if given a choice, I will go with 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 10 with 35mm offset all around and the tire sizes are 245/35 and 285/30.

Your offsets are the same as mine. Of course, there's no rubbing until you hit some deep holes or big bumps. You'll know about it some time. For regular driving, there'll be no problem. Enjoy it. Be honest, 20mm in the rear is too aggressive. I still like mine a lot, but 30-35mm offset will be the bomb.

hey pretender, I have 9.5 in rear and will be running 275/30, are you running these and 245/35 fronts? As you said, the diameter will be off, making the speedo off as well, but I'm not too concern with this. So will it still be safe to run these different diameters? How about w/ AWD system? thanks

any reason why you want all seasons? It will still suck in the snow because of the small sidewalls and 19" wheels. Also a 245/30/20 is the same height as a 245/35/19 so you should be fine.

Yes I have those on my car. I don't think there's any problem since it's only 1% difference. But yes, you will see the 245/35 is taller than the 275/30 when placed them next to each other.
