Picked car... incorrect trim

Hey all,
OK I have calmed down a bit.
Went to the dealer this pm to pick up my car. Found that instead of the brushed alu trim I got the M sports bubble boy easter egg alu trim instead. Also got the white plates instead of the White Euro's that I'd requested. Argh.

It's a great car though.

Went to the dealers with my friend and it started hailing. Thankfully it stopped by the time I left. Phew.

Bad points. The wipers go the wrong way and there's a diagonal line that marks across the driver's field of vision.

Otherwise happy with everything so far.

Not speeding - driving like a grandma.

So the deal is that they will order the alu trim and swap it over. But it's going to be a 3-4 months' wait. Ugh.

The step paddles...

Bubble trim. Prob not that bad.

Will add the outside shots tomorrow. Pretty happy with the sound system and the CA is quite cool.

Great you've picked up the beast, sorry to hear the delivery was soured.

What are the dealers doing to make it up to you?

Yeh i found it hard ordering the trim as its quite confusing with the names. In the brochure there is Aluminum with accentuated patterning. That is the brushed aluminium isn't it? Then there is the Aluminim glacier silver trim - thats the "easter egg" trim?

I went for the brushed aluminium as well.

Congrats on the car mate.

Oh and some dude at the dealership thought it was a 1.3 litre engine after seeing the "135i". Ugh

I've noticed that if you use the configurator on bmw.com.au - choosing lemon int. automatically deletes glacier alu. and adds accented alu. instead.

Might be some bug or something on the configurator. I can't imagine why lemon specifically clashes with the glacier alu for them to block that combo.

So the standard stereo sounds good?

I have the Hi-Fi Pro on my 120i, and to be honest rarely listen to the radio or CDs loud enough to probably to benefit from it. But unsure if I'd be disappointed taking a step back.

Hey Kris - yeah yours arrived but it's now a Sapphire Black, Lemon Interior with bubble Alu.

Kidding. There was another black 135 there with a "sold" sign.

Cheers Zuzu. Already done. Nat was really nice and hard working. Had a calming quality and I appreciated him coming up to me for a chat and asking for feedback.

Who knows - the bubble trim might grow on me. I feel better already. Needed a cigarette though!

Absolutely Aussie.
They gave me a CD with pop, hip hop and then I ficked over a few radio stations. Turned up the base and treble. I am happy. I like the speed volume adjustment too - increasing volume as you drive faster.

The best sound was still in my dad's old S class merc but hey I am more than happy. Will plug in the USB drive tomorrow.

I'm afraid that the trim we've ordered will look like crap - upon dealer recommendations we went with (I think it's called) piano black to reduce the number of colours in the car. AW/Coral Red with Aluminium on Black sounded like too much, haha. So we did the best we could to reduce it to 3 (Aw/Coral/Black/Piano Black).

How does the bubble stuff look? The dealer had said to me it looked like cheap plastic so we opted out of it - at the launch I could see what he meant. Brushed Aluminimum was definitely the go
