What tire do you recommend?

Hi All! First time poster. I have a 2020 M35i with the stock 20” wheels. Looking to ditch the run flats for go flats. Also want a bit more rubber and due to living in the north east want an all season tire. Looking at tires with a size of 255/35/R20. What tires do you recommendd? Was looking at the BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE980AS+. Pic of my beauty for attention

Practically any name-brand 'go flat' will be light years better than what you started out on, at least IMO.

Personally, I don't track my car so I go with whatever killer sale is happening when I need rubber i.e. those brands/model tires get my attention.

Current set I have on now are BFG's, which I'd NEVER had even considered if not that they were on a big sale. As it turns out they're one of the very best tires I've run on a street car in +30yrs of running my own cars.

I had these for two years. Regular rotations. Alignment was fine. Barely squeaked passed 30k miles.

Didn't work too well in the snow for me so I got dedicated snows.

I'm trying Goodyear Eagle Exhilarates now since they were on sale. lol

I swear by Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus. Have them on my wife's X2, my MINI Cooper, and both previous 3 Series. Quiet, comfortable, and great handling, wet or dry.

I've had Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 for about a year. No complaints.
Can't compare to the run flats because the previous tires were "go flats" as well.

I use "Pirelli Winter SottoZero 3 runflat 225/45 R19 96V XL *" right now.

Feel quite comfortable on a road. And it is not the first winter I use them.

I can’t wait to get rid of the run flats… But 5,000 km per year I think I’ll keep them for 10 years…😂

Without any questions asked, I’d go Michelin Pilot Sport 4S- do they make them is the size…? What the heck, I might just change for them regardless…

DWS06+ or the new Pirelli P Zero A/S Plus 3 or whatever they're called. I think they won the most recent Tire Rack comparo between them, the DWS06+ and the Michelin PS4AS.

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests...y.jsp?ttid=334

Doesn't look like the Pirellis come in 255/35/20, though.

So, DWS06+.

I don't think they've done the winter portion of the comparison, yet, or at least I couldn't find it. But, the scoring itself looks promising.
