Speed Sensitive Stereo

Does anyone know how to disable the Speed Sensitive Stereo? I find that driving in local traffic the volume abruptly changes. I'd rather choose the volume I prefer instead of the car choosing it for me.

Do you have standard stereo or premium?

I don't know if it can be disabled completely, but have you tried adjusting the speed dependent volume to its lowest setting (1-6)?

I have the Premium Stereo. Volume goes up and down dramatically depending on speed whereas it gets annoying. I will try the adjustment.

I adjusted it on my car, but it's still there and still very annoying. Don't know if it can be turned off, I'd be very interested in finding that out.

on the premium system go in to your audio settings and turn down the sensitivity.

I have the standard stereo and on mine the speed dependent volume hardly does anything even on setting 6.

My friend has this in his 335i. It is very very annoying. IIRC, the 03-04 350Z's had this feature recalled on their premium audio systems because of so many complaints.

I would prefer not to have it in my 1.

Wow, that's surprising. I had it on my HK system in my '99 M3 and it was so subtle that I didn't even notice it for the first 2 weeks until I braked abruptly.

Don't order the premium hifi, speed volume control does not seem to be available on the standard hifi. See this thread...http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8432
