Fitted aluminium foot pedals

For anyone fitting the aluminium foot pedals themselves it takes about an hour.

I threw away the template stickers that came with the kit as I found they flew off when drilling the holes into the pedals. Instead, I drilled through the aluminium faceplate predrilled holes and into the plastic foot pedal behind using a small drill bit first then a larger one afterwards.

You need a decent electric drill to do the brake pedal as it's solid steel, the accelerator and clutch pedals are plastic and easy to drill, the brake pedal is a bit of and a bitch to get through. It's a bit fiddly screwing the nuts onto the back of the pedal but they look a lot better than the rubber OEM pedals.

Dealer charged £55 for them and wanted £120 to fit them, said I would do it myself and glad I did as it's fairly straight forward.

Picked them up from my local dealer. Phoned ahead last week and they already had some in stock that they put aside.

Looks great. No dead pedal...wonder if there're any around with that too.

Haven't seen any around, the performance catalogue doesn't mention one.

Search for Dan@United he is a user on this site and stocks the dead pedal, albeit in the US - but it's cheaper!

Oh, and they look great - a potential mod for me, but going to see what I think of the stock ones first.

Spoke to Dan, he is trialling a dead pedal from an E90. He's waiting to see if it fits....
