Is a $4000 discount possible?

A total of a $4000 or so discount on the car, delivery and options (say met paint, speakers, alarm). Is it possible from BMW on a 135i?

No, it's not.

You might get close with corp.

And Euro delivery not available in Australia according to my dealer.

I saved just over $2000 on Dealer Delivery with Corporate pricing and probably close to the $4000 quoted once all the small(ish) discounts and 'freebies' are included. I wouldn't think you'd have much chance otherwise as I suspect they won't have any trouble selling the Australian allocation as it is. Why would they discount it that much?

Nothing wrong with trying though!

Thanks for the replies. I will be negotiating next week. I should be able to get a corporate discount on the delivery & options (25% I believe).

Alext, the Corporate discount on Dealer Delivery I got is more than that (50%) and I don't think it's as high as 25% on the options. Not sure what it is, but maybe 10-15%.

I think that unless you are corporate or that you have been buying plenty of cars from them you won't be getting much, but you never know, I went with my boss (which is the new Consul general in Australia) to Audi for example and they immediately offered us the corporate package, with free 3 yr services, discounts and even if someone important comes they would lend us another car ( A8, Q7) for a little while and this is the only car from the brand that my embassy will own, some at lexus, so I reckon soem dealers want to give it to you and some do not.

Not on corporate, dealer is Wodonga Prestige. Tried for 10 speaker stereo too, but no go. No trade in so not sure if that made a difference either way.

They have been very good so far, arranged for me and my wife to go see the 1's that were used by the journo's for the press launch (they left from & returned to Albury), & let us sit, paw & rev the cars (tried to convince them to let me go round the block, but BMW Aust. guy said no). Unfortunately they didn't have any crimson red ones on the launch to look at.
