Which Sydney Dealer? About to Purchase

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, have been looking for a new car for the last 6 months with nothing grabbing my attention.

After almost buying an S3 about 3 weeks ago, I'm very excited to hear about the 135, and glad it remains in my price range.

I've done the basic chat with a dealer in Sydney, and am ready to pull the trigger on a purchase.

Any Sydney guys recommend a particular dealer, or know where I can get either a discount or a delivery date earlier than the mid August I'm currently being quoted?

Dunno, I had to ask for them (and they charged me too for it, are they meant to be free?) I got corporate too.

You might be lucky and find the car that you want spec up at a dealer after the launch in late May.Other wise, that would be the wait now. Have you tried calling some dealers for their stock levels come June?

I suggest that you phone all the dealers and ask for the dealer charges. That alone can vary by >$1K. I got fee mats if that helps but no discount.

Thanks

Thanks for the info guys... seems like the price is in line with what I've been quoted.

Can anyone elaborate on the corporate deal.. I'll be buying the car through my business - is that all that is required to get the corporate discount on the dealer delivery?

Your business requires to have 20 luxury cars (not necessarily owned by the company but by the employees)...

I think that goes for most of us!
I have had no less than 3 VIN numbers and made the tracking difficult, plus other issues...

Bummer. I'm hoping to be there for their launch, but I guess buying there might be a hassle then. Pity, as it's the closest to me...

I have purchased a different car from Trivett. They are great. I actually test drove drove the car in their East Sydney showroom and then bought in Melbourne when they opened their dealership here a couple of months later. The Sydney guys were more than happy with that.

Thanks Zuzu, unfortunately I won't be able to get the 135 until at least August or Sep, due to my brothers wedding being overseas and needing to buy the missus her car. But as soon as I am ready, at least I have the confidence that at that point I will know more than the salesman, lol!!!! But I still need to get one BMW for my boss, so I'll really appreciate if you can give me his name.
