Audio OUT on boot CD changer wiring?
Hi, I'm the guy earlier asking about getting speaker outs into the boot for the purposes of driving a sub,
My quick follow-up question is: in the US, the 135i is pre-wired with some gadgets in the trunk for making it easy to hook up the CD changer. There's a bunch of connectors back there. It's easy to assume that there is an audio IN connector back there -- after all, the CD changer will have to ship its audio somewhere. But is there a (line level? speaker level?) OUT anywhere on those connectors I can leech off of? Help is much appreciated, Eddie |

you have 2 options. If you have the non logic 7 system, tap into the outputs from the Head unit as they are line level out. If it is logic 7 then you need to tap into the subwoofer out wires AFTER the amp. The logic 7 head unit output is digital and needs to be decoded from the Amp.
check out these 3 threads. The audio system in the 3 series is the same as the 1 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=subwoofer http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52193 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=subwoofer BSW's website gives a step by step install for installing their subs too. http://www.bavariansoundwerks.com/pr...ries-M3-Coupe/ All of this should answer your questions or point you to other forums where they have all your answers. Good luck! |
