125i Buyers....

hey guys,

i know everyone seems to be in love with the 135i, but i would to know how many people did end up buying the 125i or am I the only one?
and how much did you pay for yours?

the below is what i got

I am from Melbourne and here is what i paid for my 125i, however please note that i bought this car 2 months ago before the motorshow, and am expecting delivery end may or early june as told by the dealer...

I have now made a change in color and gone for ALPINE WHITE with RED CORAL interior...
which takes the metallic price off, but instead I added 18" alloy wheels, the total price dropped by a few hundred $$.

Cheers,

I would like to know what others in Melb or Aus have paid?

I think you will find that most people here would not have gotten a cent discount. Yours appeared to have been discounted on the price of the car, but then they have inflated the DD massively. Works out to be close to no discount by the looks of it.

Where's the luxury car tax component? Which dealer did you go through?

That is actually an average price all things considered - Mine came in somewhere around that (notice i'm being coy about exactly how much the dealer charged all up) but i went for the automatic option instead of the sunroof and seat heating. Am thinking i should have got bigger wheels now too... I suppose you'd normally be expecting to pay around 70K for an optioned up 125i so any discount is better than no discount! And yes, i imagine plenty of people on here would have paid full price too!

Ronnie, have you actually bought this car? Can you get out of it? Anyone in Melbourne not getting a discount at all and still want to buy a car, then I can help you. I have a good relationship with one of the dealers and I can help get a discount. But it may not be a very big one though.

I changed my order today, just in the nick of time. Alpine White has grown on me over the past week, and after seeing photos of Larry's AW with Terra leather here http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5705, I just had to switch to that combo. Saved me some $$$ as well since it's not metallic.

No idea yet mate. You? It's going to be a long wait - and as you can see, I'm completely obsessed, spending hours playing with Photoshop and making animations of the car...

I, myself have never been so obsessed with a car before.... this one is getting me crazy.....
I was told by the dealer that i should get it by Mid June.

Apparently I heard that, this is the only BMW model selling so many AW, rather than metallic colors. the 125i and 135i AW aare going like hot cakes.....

yup, but i'm pissed off that I did - it won't compare to the 130i and won't even come close to the 135 in performance, and presumably resale %. And it seems my dealer has tried jerking me around to stop me cancelling or changing my order. Overall i'm not as hyped as i was and am now thinking i ought to have bought an Audi TT instead. oh well.

Kizzt, just change your order to a 135i if you have the means to do so. The dealer will not say no as he is still getting the sale.

The 125i will out-perform the 4 cylinder TT, unless you're talking about getting the Quattro, in which case, just get the 135i! Easy!

Agreed, the Le Mans is a really nice blue. Beige leather really sets it off too.

Hey mate,

I personally think that le mans blue is much better than black and its easier to keep clean than Black and other dark colours......

any colour under direct sunlight will show its flaws and dirt, but must say that Le mans blue, still can fool people.
i am still a fan of le mans blue, but needed a change so AW for the 125i....
