Windscreen washing system=totally inadequate

As far as I can see, no one here, nor in g87, g20 etc had this kind of issue:
If I am using the washing system of the windscreen I have multiple streaks that are impossible to remove with wipers. I have to stop and clean manually.
If it is raining wipers are totally fine.
Those streaks happen only when I use the washing system.
Do you think it could be the liquid? I tried to dilute it with all the water I could. Still no improvement.
I exclude the blade are the issue cause they work flawlessly in the rain..

You're saying that you only get these streaks if you use the washer fluid? Does it streak if you try a dry wipe after raining?

If it doesn't, then it's probably contaminants in the fluid/system and I'd have the dealer look at it.

Exactly. I tried to drain some fluid and dilute it but still huge streaks

I’ve seen where using Rain-X brand washer fluid can streak from the hydrophobic additive. Maybe someone topped you up with the wrong stuff…

First I would siphon out (if possible) the washer reservoir, then hold the washer and run till totally empty. Get it all out. Then fill up with standard blue washer fluid (summer 32F, standard 0F, or winter -20F) just make sure it’s the plain-Jane stuff with no additive. If it’s cold/freezing and you need extra ice-cutting effect just add 1 bottle of “Heet” brand fuel dry (pure Methanol) into your gallon of washer fluid.

Clean the wipers after this too.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. Although it seems to me more of a design failure:
- Fluid is sprayed on the upper part of the wipers.
- Wipers move and use the fluid while moving upwards
- As much as I can try, it is impossible to get fluid below the wipers (when they return to rest position)
- This is the moment they leave streaks
IMHO with the classic system, it was mandatory to spray fluid also in the back travel of the wipers, not only when going up.
Right now is impossible and there you have streaks coming

Exactly these two issues, both caused by the (too far above) position of the nozzles, could be solved easily by BMW. Former German engineering would've never ever let that - beneficial for the driver behind - solution go into the wild as it is designed now and surely had succeeded with the proper positioning as you mentioned it.

Much has changed here...
