Windshield Question
Hi all. I recently had my windshield replaced. I went through Safelite but requested they used OEM BMW glass. Upon replacement, I noticed that when they installed the windshield, the molding on the top of the windshield was uneven. Is there any way to fix/have this redone without replacing the whole windshield? I know this doesn’t affect anything, but small things like these bother me. I attached a photo of a showroom vehicle for reference.

Why don't you take it back to Safelight and have them fix it correctly?

I'm worried that if I take it back, they will mess it up again. Additionally, I'm wondering if they need to replace the glass or not to fix the molding. I'd rather keep the current windshield and find another way to make it look aesthetically appealing.

TAKE IT BACK.....don't worry, it can't be anymore screwed up than it is already!....If, they have to install another new windshield, THAT'S THEIR PROBLEM.
Take back, complain and have it done correctly.... my 2 cents |
