Subaru Announces Pre-Ordering For STI

Linkie.

Alright BMW, Subaru has thrown down the gauntlet. You need a pre-order program of your own!

I think that car is going to lose a lot of its hardcore enthusiasts. I wouldn't be surprised if prices came down real quick.

Yeah, especially seeing that most anyone who can afford a car with a $35K entry point is too mature to fool with something as childish as an STI.

Don't get me wrong, Subaru is a great car, if you live in a snowy area...but not if you want to present yourself as an adult and have people take you seriously.

Yeah, because nothing says "serious" more than a sweater vest, a vanilla latte, and an emo haircut.

Chances are...

Well chances are I will be getting this new STi because I currently own a Subaru and absolutly love the AWD and the prices of the STi will come down into a price range I am looking for a little more. The 135i is sweet and should I make more money then I am expecting out of college then maybe I will save a little longer and put a hefty down payment on one...but I would rather save that money for a house or condo.

While Subaru does not have the fit and finish of a BMW or ANY German manufacterer for that matter, I really do love my car and the AWD system that comes with it, so versatile and safe in my opinion....but thats just what it is, My Opinion.

As for being taken seriously, who cares what you drive, people will take YOU for who YOU are and how YOU present YOURSELF in person, not your car. I am a car guy and I will drive the car I want to drive regardless of what other people thing, they can judge me on the interaction that I will have with them...that is all I have to say about that.

When I got a good look at the STI at the LA AUTO SHOW, I first thought I was still in the Hyundai booth and that they are competing in the WRC. The new Impreza looks like a wide body Hyndai Accent to me.....
