Tip for a black 1-Series...

Tip for a black 1-Series; airbrush Tamiya Smoke on the side markers for the appearance of an uninterrupted side panel.

I'm okay with side markers on my car though...

Looks like you can spray paint what you want, huff the rest.

1) Remove 'offending', clear, side-marker lens,

2) Airbrush Tamiya-brand 'Smoke' onto said lens for a smooth, factory-stock looking production,

3) Reinstall now-modified lens.

The above assumes said side-maker lens(s) can be removed.

I did it with my suby. Baked the headlights for 15 mins at 250 degrees to soften the seal. unscrew everything, and the headlight pops open, is it the same ordeal for bmw headlights from before?

Should the lens be emphatically attached to the car, simply masking around the lens could be done. That might actually be one heck of a lot easier. The image approximates the effect as I have eliminated the side marker while dimming with Smoke will not completely visually remove the thing.

As it turns out, the little side-marker/lens is actually a turn signal. That's unfortunate.

Leave it be, as it turns out, once the car is in your hands, little things like the side marker become inconsequential.
