Help with depinning radiator fan connector
So I was changing out my thermostat on my 2013 F30 335 xdrive, hoping to solve an overheating problem, and as I pulled out my radiator fan connector the green cable popped out. After I shoved it back in and put everything back together I ended up having a fan error. I’d like to avoid buying a new connector and soldering and might as well try to take this one apart to salvage it. Was wondering if you guys had any tips on how to take this apart.
I tried watching this video but they don’t show my connector type. There’s a part inside that moves around which is the T shaped piece. Otherwise I need some direction. Thanks! Oh also for the overheating problem I was just going to pay someone to do the water pump as on xdrive it looks like a major pain. Oil pan looks like it’s leaking so I’ll have it done at the same time. I just changed out some hoses, replaced with an aluminum Mickey Mouse flange, and changed the thermostat. |

mig2830 So how exactly do I use this tool? I got a variety pack of them. Also it seems very difficult when the wire is not there for leverage unless there’s something I’m missing
