Carbon Fiber looks great... not too overwhelming, just a little in the right spots. Wheels are perfect for the car as well..

One question on the wheels and tires. Could you fit anything bigger? especially in the front? I like to run same size front and rear on the track and was wondering if I could fit 255 all around?
Very nice ride by the way I love hartge wheels :w00t:

Hi. There are various different options. I have chosen a narrower tyre at the front for steering response. Here are the choices, 235/35 on 8J is as big as you can go on the front. Offset 40.

http://www.birdsauto.com/1-PDFs/E8737360385.pdf

The lip inside my rear arches has been rolled in to prevent rubbing (see the second pic).

You could whack on some coilies, wind 'em down, fit spacers, stretch some massive tyres onto big rims and end up with a great show car, that rides terribly and doesn't handle :iono:

Thanks Zak :w00t: The AP's are probably overkill but I had ECS Porsche/Brembo brakes on my Golf, and once you've had that you never want to compromise again:redface:

The CF mirrors are caps, so the mirrors still fold. All the CF parts are OEM BMW accessories, so they fit straight on a 1-er.

The real stealth mod is the Quaife ATB differential. BMW are keeping limited slip differentials for their M-cars to give them an edge. Retro fit a diff and you sort out a big deficiency;

i was just getting sad because this is what we likely have to contend with ala 135i. I was hoping to get some 255's under there.:frown:

I don't see why you would want 255's on the front, it will kill the steering feel. Rides great on my setup and I'm sure would cope with tuned 135i power. In fact the garage that did it have a 380bhp 335i demo car on similar setup (but 20" wheels, for press attention really rather than handling)

Pirelli 245/30 ZR20 front, 285/25 ZR 20 rear

http://www.birdsauto.com/1-PDFs/E9209920100.pdf

Will be of interest to anyone looking to tune a 135i

G'day mate and thanks for the feedback. Sorry for delay in replying I don't seem to get notifications. Prices for the carbon parts in GBP with 17.5% VAT are;
  • Front spoiler lips (pair) £290
  • Carbon mirror caps (pair) £190
  • Rear diffuser £494 :eyebulge:
Details etc all posted here on a UK based forum

Anyway how are you getting on with your car? :smile:

Just for the record I now have the immense 356mm AP Racing 6-pot brakes fitted which are obscenely good. I would post pics but the car is covered in winter crud. Look very discreet but you see them being clocked by petrolheads.

I had the B&M shifter fitted but didn't like it so had it removed again. Up for sale if anyone is interested.
