E89 Pricing?

What is the pricing range that we're looking at for the Sdrive35, approximately?

Really a function of US content and of pkgs/options selected. Base price means less - unless you're buying a base car.

Agree hints so far suggest E93 335i is pretty good benchmark. My guess is Z4 a few bucks less, but ballpark. Gets the Zed-4 under Cayman and Boxster, under Lexus and SLK folding hardtops, probably under Corvette.

Am myself tracking Z4 and Corvette vert to order/buy one of these in July. Have supplier pricing on the Corvette, so expect price issue with Z4 to be pretty much a wash and not much worried about it. Doesn't make the choice easier, but second place is pretty sweet to contemplate as well. In wife's formulation, gets down to elegant vs beastly. Need time with butt dyno to finally decide.

I'm surprised they haven't announced the pricing yet considering they want to start deliveries in May! I would have thought they would be wanting to take orders here as soon as possible.

I think the strengthening of the dollar vs the euro at the moment may speed things up.

Until they do then the E93 is the closest price point I think. It would translate from the UK pricing model to have it between the E92 and E93 and any higher starts to knock on the door of the M3.

I'm going to sit out the first year of production as I have a wedding to pay for among other expenses, but hopefully 2010 I'll be putting my deposit down for either a Z4 or E92 M3.

With the E93, my recollection is that orders began to be accepted in January 2007, but pricing was not out until late-Feb/early-March. I ordered my E93 algainst a Feb allocation about 4 weeks before I knew what it would cost (got $1000 off MSRP, which is still pretty good).

Not Hard to Figure Out...

Beside the price for pkgs/options, it is not hard to make a good guess.

1. The present Z4 3.0si starts at $42K+ and thats without the premium/sport/ pkgs, without heated seats/xenons/navigation and other options/features.

Look at it this way a Z4 3.0si metallic color with lets say the premium pkg, heated seats, xenon lights, and navigation (all the esentials, sport pkg TOO ROUGH and dont care what others say, its just unacceptable) comes to about $50k, so the new Z4 35i comes with a hardtop, longer, higher interior quality material than previous model, twin turbo 300 HP and I drive if you opt for the navigation. I dont know about you but with all these features you can be sure the car will hit 56k-58k range.

Personally, Sdrive30i with 255HP is more than enough, I mean come on, how fast do you want to go. and it will start in the low $40ish price range.
