M40i LCI Gloss trim Replacement!

Hey guys!

I finally had the time to look up some solutions to the much hated gloss in the center console. I ordered some replacement trim pieces from eBay a few weeks ago and just arrived!

They offered these trim pieces in matte and glossy carbon fiber.

I ended up buying the center console trim and radio button trim. I’ll post pictures of the interior once they’re installed!

Price was $445 for both, shipped!

I have a friend that got the overlay stuff and it was surprisingly nice looking for the cost.

Is that a matte CF that you bought? How does it look with the shiny CF that comes with the car?

Now I sort of regret getting the aluminium rhombicle over the aluminum or CF. Haven't seen many solutions for that and I think CF on aluminium rhombicle will be too busy.

Also - 2023 Tecora Red owner checking in. Nice red arm rest

I'd be up for that, as that is how the car should have come in the first place.

I made that mistake on my M4 thinking I would be fine with the rhombicle and save $1k. Then I replaced it with OEM CF parts for a cost of $2k after I had the car for awhile. It made be realize get what you like initially because its always more expensive later.

I don't think it's a bad look per se, but it shows scratches much easier than the CF and I like the look of CF better.
