Iphone Diagnosis & Coding Functionality
I've been running around in circles trying to find the best all-in-one solution that can operate with my iphone. Protools looks to fit the bill but it is android only for some reason. Bimmercode looks perfect for coding but lacks any diagnosis functionality. i-Carly has mixed reviews. For the DIY'ers here what do you prefer? I'd love something that would work on my project E90 track car too.

As far as I know, there are two apps - BimmerCode (used only for coding, but no diagnosis) and BimmerLink (diagnosis). Both are paid, but work well and mainly the diagnosis function gives you tonnes of info on any part of the car.

Spend the 100 bux get a cheapo android tablet and just use Android. If you just want service functions check out foxwell handhell NT(latest number).
Apple doesn't let developers use Bluetooth serial link, for whatever reason, which is the main way all these car apps work with bluetooth/obd2 dongles. So you are not going to find what you are looking for (apple only) without compromises. |

I had the same issue. I have Bimmercode and Bimmerlink. I bought an Android supported tablet for cheap and installed Protools. I essentially use all three, depending on what I need to do. If I'm out and about, Bimmercode/Bimmerlink are all I need. When I need to do a deeper dive into things it's Protools all day.
