Former F1 team Williams-BMW had PUMA as a co sponsor on their cars. That's all I know:

If they open a PUMA case on you, you may loose your warrenty if they can prove that you mistreated the use of your bimmer. I feel for you man. Most dealerships don't look for these and let them slide.

Wow. That doesn't sound nice....
Keep us informed if you want. But...hey, your car has a 2 years warranty on it. So what's the point?

You guys must stop posting when you dont know what you are talking about

Its PuMA (German: Problem- und Maßnahmenmanagement Aftersales)

It means your dealer wasnt shure what to do and has requested technical assistance from BMW. It happens all the time

HoosBMW - What problem are you having with your car that they can't figure out?

Edit: Never mind, looks like from your other post you're having issues with the DSC/DTC system. Hope they get it fixed!

I agree, if you don't know, DON'T POST as though you know, damn it, you could've said, " I think it stands for bla bla bla, but I'm not sure...."

Thanks E90Fleet for clearing things up, I really believed KC Bimmer until you made your post.

LOL... I thought it was the little case with the trap door in the trunk.

My car came with a little tiny PUMA in it.

I feed em' once a week... So he won't grow so fast!

Oh dear,

That will affect most of the E90 post people!!!

Oh well, thankfully the cars are built to take the "spirited" driving techniques used.
