removing tint

finally got a ticket for tint couple weeks ago. i think if you have tint on a black car it's a lot easier to get pulled over since the car is "blacked out" but tint is tint regardless what color your car is. i dont have the car much longer (lease is almost up) so i figured i can go on without tint. the car might not look as good but i cant risk getting pulled over and over (i get too paranoid ) plus i was always curious to see how the car would look without tint

anyways where are some places i can have it removed for cheap? i was thinking about doing it myself but how exactly can i do it? thanks

ouch that sucks bro,

well i removed the tint on my mom's car and it was pretty easy.

all you do is pull off the tint (starting from a corner) and it should come right off, and then i use some soapy water out of a spray bottle and a razor blade to get the residue off the window.

also found this using -- remove tint?

lmao.

Not technically my bday yet, but thanks Ill take the CE's as a present if you are offering. You should try and make it out to dinner tomorrow. Its in your area and you can come out and see everyone. You got my #. Hit me up if you can make it.

Btw, if you do plan on doing it yourself, its quite simple. Take a razor blade and start at one end. You can now start to peel it, but make sure to have a hair dryer to heat up the areas with the dot matrix. Without heating the tint a bit, it is a known problem to rip off the dot matrix.

Or you can take it to any tint shop and get it removed for probably less then $20.

Exclamation How to remove tint

ITEMS:
1. Grab win-dex, or soap & water in a spray bod.
2. Get 2 razor blades and a roll of paper towels

STEP1:
Roll down your window about half way so you can see the edge of the window.

STEP2:
Use your razor blade to pick/peel up the edge of the window film on your window.

STEP3:
Start pulling window film off window, if u leave any film behind just spray your window with some soap/water and put your razor blade at a 45 degree slant and start scraping your extra film off.

STEP4:
You should have some extra glue left behind after removing your film from your window.. use your soap/water and wet the whole window and start scraping your whole window up/down and left/right until all the glue is removed.

STEP5:
After you have removed all the glue that was left over from the film wipe your window down really good with your paper towels to insure you have removed all the lose glue parts.

AND YOUR DONE!... its super simple and you do not have anything to worry about!...

GOOD LUCK!

making it too hard
dude grab a steam cleaner
put it to your window
comes off in one piece
DO NOT
I repeat
DO NOT take a razor blade to it
you will remove only one layer and the glue you will have to remove will be such a pain in the ass and your interior will be so messed up and sticky
trust me
I removed my 5%
