So I have been living in Orlando for a few years now and have been a car guy since the day I arrived. I've jumped on the truck wagon for the last few years, but now I am picking up my g80 this week and the itch for some curvy roads is big!

The thing is I only know of Mounte Verde (Apopka) for some curvier back roads, and even then it's not that much of it. Anybody has recommendations for some fun curvy roads somewhere in Orlando or at least in a 1h radius of it?

Florida definitely isn’t known for their drives like anything I was used to up north. Obviously A1A is historic but far so Green Mountain byway may be worth a trip to check out depending on where you are exactly near Orlando. It’s a Mount Dora/Winter Garden area. Definitely worth stopping out to some of their historic areas to hit up some food within the trip.

It’s a bit further away but I think this sequence of roads is pretty good for FL. I live in Gainesville and drive down to Orlando frequently, and take these roads from west to east if I have the time.

The roads are smooth and there are a pretty decent amount of sweeping curves that are fun to take above 70 mph, but it’s still nice to cruise at the speed limit if you’re stuck behind another car. From my experience it’s usually pretty empty.

Thanks going to set a date with a few friends from Orlando to do this route or maybe Mount Dora / Winter Garden
