Hows the market treating you?

Is anyone getting any type of discounts off MSRP on M40s?

Msrp…only had some loyalty rebate. But nothing additional off sticker. Got my production number. My sales guy said late October early November

Got $1500 off MSRP, $1500 loyalty, negotiated down the MF on my lease by a hair, and a fair deal on my lease trade in. Signed deal Labor Day weekend, dealer had allocation and the car is in production. ‘23 M40i

Agreed, that's one of the best deals I've seen on the M40i.

The way I am telling my brain I had a decent "deal" is that my trade was worth about $2-$3K of what it would have been if used car prices hadn't gone nuts.

I typically only buy in a favorable market, but got caught moving back to the US without any cars. Bought MSRP 2023 X3 40i, I'm not apposed to the sales person making a few bucks if they treat me well...I do believe the US auto market will correct in the next 6 months.

I got 6% off a M40i plus an extra $750 off last month. No other dealer came close.

Ordered an sDrive 30i on August 11th. No VIN yet. As far as I'm concerned, when the car finally gets here is when negotiations will begin. I sense that with the U.S. and most of the developed world heading into recession, and with interest rates climbing as rapidly as they are, the demand for new vehicles is quickly softening, especially so in the last few weeks. The dealer will have to move on price or it's no deal, especially since I do not qualify for any of the incentives.

Seems like there has already been a lot of price softening on s drive and 30i models in general. Not as much movement on M40i and proper M models.

Ho lee! That’s an amazing deal, maybe I should’ve hammered my dealer harder! I had a good deal through a lease broker on leasehackr, but the dealer wasn’t local and would have to give me less on my trade, plus I’d have to pay shipping for the car to come to me and for me to ship the trade. I’m a repeat customer with my dealer here in Denver so it was a relatively painless negotiation to come to a middle ground.

I thought about waiting until my lease is up in February, but wanted to take advantage of my trade on equity that will likely vanish by then (used car market is sliding significantly). I’m sure dealers will have to negotiate more on price then however, with rates going crazy as they are. Now on M and M cars (that will probably still be in demand for the right buyer group?) they may not be willing or have to budge as much as we the consumer would like.

I got a few thousand discount, but I'm also buying an M8 and X3 M40 from the same dealer all within a few months.

Speaking of the M8, any progress?
