My 2009 e92 335xi coupe came stock like this from Munich, so YES! 225/30-18 front and 255/35-18 rear. Only issue are the damn Bridgestone runflats that I'm trying to kill as fast as possible - helped along the way currently with a JB3 and a nice long push of the DTC button ...

Do some people here not realize that some xi's came STOCK with staggered wheels/tires? Do a little research. Like offthewall said, the only thing that matters is the overall diameter of the tires, not the width!

I think people get confused about tire width and the different tire diameters that could hurt AWD systems. As long as the rolling diameter of the tires are about the same in all corners, as in very small difference such as .1 inch or so, the width does not matter. What you don't want to do is having a larger diameter tire in the back that would rotate at a totally different rate than the front tires.
The factory tires 225 front and 255 rear on the XI are both 25inch diameter. |
