Which paint protector?

My E46 got trashed at the track, I want to protect the next one better. Many recommend lumishield over 3M. Any thoughts or experiance to share?

How hard is it to clean rubber marks off?

That's what I am discovering as well. It appears to be the same as Lamin-X, but Lamin-X is DIY.

Just get on of those black plastic "bras" for the track.
I used clear contact shelf paper the last time I was at the track and it worked well. Came off clean despite 90+ degree heat.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Shelf paper is not going to cut it. In advanced run groups where everyone is running r-comps and bumper to bumper, your need something pretty thick to stop the rock chips.

Never had good luck with bras - they always damage my paint and are a PITA to put on.
