All you'll have is the stupid TPMS light on while you drive, thats about it. If you can live with that, i dont see why you'd have any other problem.

Although another option is just to swap your tpms on your stock wheels over to your CSL's.

I don't know exactly how BMW's TPMS works but Lexus' works wirelessly. I know that some guys over at CL made a pressurized tube out of PVC plastic and threw the TPMS sensors in there. They just keep the little tube in the trunk and no TPMS warning light at all.

IDK if you can do something like that for these cars.

You said you have 330i? I don't think you have TPMS. You probably have FTMS (Flat Tire Monitor System). If your E90 was built before (I think) March 2007, you have FTMS. After March 2007 (and newer) are equipped with TPMS.

there's nothing to swap.
no sensors
nothing.

FTM uses the wheel speed sensors to detect a flat tire.

To find out for sure take a look at your valve stems. If they're rubber then you have no sensors, if they're metal then you have the TPMS, but as others have said since you have a 330 I doubt you do.

No reason to. I have the older FTMS and it works just as well as the new system. It tells me when air pressure gets to low over time or from a sudden flat. Saves you money not having the newer system when you change your wheels and tires.

+1 In my experience (and it's happened 3 times) the system triggers when a tire is 6psi lower than it should be, which gives more than enough warning to do something about it.
